Journal #4- Depth of Field

"Bunnies"
f/2.8

"At The Stable"
f/5.6

"Spike of Green, Bloom of Pink"
f/16

"Inner Cowboy"
f/16

Overall, out of the three aperture settings we used,  my favourite picture I took was "Inner Cowboy". I really like how it has a country feel to it. Also, I like the calm colours in this picture and how it's dull looking.

Assignment #2- Shutter Speeds

"Taylor and Paula"
Action Shot

For this picture I took at picture of Taylor and her horse, Paula, jumping. We didn't have a tripod with us, so I set it up on the stepping block in the arena, but it was too short. Then, I tried standing on the stepping block to take the shot and it worked out great. Lastly, for this picture I used a shutter speed of  1/2000.

Journal #3- Shutter Speeds

"Diesel"
Action Shot

I really liked this picture because when cats play they are usually always moving and for this picture, I got her mid playing. For this I also used shutter speed 1/1000.

"Splash"
Action Shot

I really liked how some of the other students did a picture with a glass of water and I thought it look interesting, so I decided to try it out. The shutter speed for this picture was 1/1000.

"Hot Mess"
Panning Shot

For this picture using the shutter speed, Panning, I took picture of my friend walking. The shutter speed was 1/30.

"Music Note"
Light Painting

Out of all of the different shutter speeds this style was my favourite because it was so interesting and you can make whatever image you want just by using a flashlight. For this picture my shutter speed was about 5-7 seconds long.

"Ghost in Mid-Day"
Strobe Light

For this particular shot my camera wasn't able to the picture a good strobe light picture. So I was able to use another students camera for this shot. It's not the greatest picture I have ever taken, but there are a few things I like about this picture. I do like how Terry looks like a ghost out during the daytime and I also like how his hands are everywhere. For this the shutter speed was 5-10 seconds.
